well..

it was a really great game. i liked the cartoony graphics and all
but the most annoying part was that there were not enough lives, and there's no continue feature.. so each time, I make it to around level 3, die, then have to stat over... kinda unappealing.

It was okay....

But it wasn't great. It was too easy, and there is little to no replay value.

Great.

This was definitely one of the better games I've played here. I'm not really a fan of all the hack'n'slash or the run'n'gun etc games here, because they're completely devoid of meaning.
This one, however, was very good. I'm going to admit, the part with the invisible floors was pretty annoying, but I really liked the ending. Well, not the ending itself, but the parts leading to the ending. It reminded me of Orpheus' tale, actually.
The only thing that I think should be changed is that at the way end, when you and the ghost reach the grave, both you and the ghost disappear, but the man is still looking at the grave. I think he should look back for you both to disappear. Amazing how such a small detail sorta ruined the ending for me.

Hm.

When I first saw this I thought it was complete bullshit, but it's kinda growing on me now. Not enough o give it a 10, since it wasn't good at all, and, well, yeah. I don't know how this has such a high score, or how it's remained on the front page for so long, but great job managing that anyway.

The graphics were really nice, I love that style, and it really fit in with the whole game itself. I love that guy who gave it a 0 because it was 'pixellated'. Of course, the 11 and 12 year olds nowadays haven't been around to experience that genre of gaming, and have only been around for 3D games and whatnot.

Um, the music I liked a lot. It was really peaceful and calming, and it fit in also with the duck's life.

The gameplay itself wasn't so great. I mean, you put so much work (maybe) into the rest of the game, but you only had 1 action, which was that the duck begins to drink when you click. Well uh, at least some movement around the pond would have been nice, but any 'plot' would ruin the game, since it's just a sim. I mean, ducks don't normally go kill the giant goose who's trying to take over the world, do they? No. I'm hoping to see a lot more in Duck Sim 2009, though.

And sorry, but the duck didn't really move me, but I guess I see where you're going with that. Maybe if I screw around with it some more I'll get somewhere but uh..yeah.

Er, nice try with this one, but it wasn't too great. the only reason it's getting such a high score is because of the random 9 year olds who think this is the greatest joke they have ever seen.

yeah... save game bug..

I'll give you a 9 anyway because it looks like it would have been an awesome game, and you obviously put tons of work into it.
I really enjoyed mardek 1 too, so i know 2 would have been good.

i'm still pretty pissed that after 2 hours of gameplay i did something stupid and died...
i had also died a couple times before after about an hour...
so yeah, about 4-5 hours of my life just got wasted, but i'm putting most of the blame on adobe.
i hope you get this comment soon because i want to see this change implemented into the game.. (if you still have the source, and if its possible)

since for some reason you can't rewrite the code for saving/loading to get it to work,
change it so that when you die, instead of having the options "quit" and "load", you're given the options to "quit" and "continue", continue being that you're revived at the castle or something.

i'm really hoping to see this bug fixed either way, because i still haven't even gotten to the second day in the game, and it's definitely the best adventure/rpg game on newgrounds.

I love this game

Awesome game. I love the bomb ending.
At first, I thought the second ending was going to be that you would bomb the guy and he would die and it would be a sad ending or something.

Still though, great game. I guess that the replay value's would drop though after 2 or 3 games.

not so good

there were only 3 (or 6) scenarios
and all you had to do is keep injecting them with anaesthetic
the other 2 were alot more challenging than this (like amputating your own leg)
the least you couldve done to make this better is put more treatments
anyway, it had some good parts but it was far too short and easy
maestrorage did a pretty good job on the music though

CHINGGIS KHAN!

did you know his real name was Temujin?

well..

its a good idea, but placing a 3+mb song in this gadget is kinda a waste of space.
its also a little useless, unless its someone who cannot think of any password and decides to use a random jumble of letters/numbers
you also didnt check to make sure the password contained both letters and numbers. simple ascii check.

damn...

nice.
you should make a variety of flags that people can choose from
maybe... do something more with it? i dunno
the only problem was how the flag would keep folding but still an amazing use of code. great job
how long did the actionscripting take ?

NIckFoo responds:

Well, remember that Flash is limited so you can't put too many triangles, or else it will start to chug along. The folding is natural because of the wind.

The code took a looong time to perfect, given the limitations of Flash. There are actually some invisible spheres keeping the flag from colliding with itself, so that means you have rigid body simulation in addition to fluids. It's quite complex :)

What is this.. I don't even use it.
